Rhynda “Storm” Stephens, Corporate & Community Engagement Manager
Rhynda (AKA Storm) grew up on a farm outside of Boston and was showing horses and competing in speech competitions through 4-H by the age of five. At just nine years old, she became the New England Jr. Hunter/Jumper Champion. In the ‘70s, she made her way to New Mexico, where she earned her Bachelor’s at NMSU and later a Master’s in Human Resources. Her diverse career path has included roles in Management at Intel Corporation, Program Manager and Instructor for a non-profit film apprenticeship program, Corrections Officer, and Business Owner.
She first joined Girls Inc. of Santa Fe in 2012, managing their annual Arts and Crafts Show on the Plaza. Though she stepped away just before COVID-19 to explore another path, it didn’t take long for her to realize how much she missed Girls Inc., leading her to return.
In addition to her work at Girls Inc., Rhynda is passionate about creating and sharing fine art and upcycled home décor. She also instructs Concealed Carry and Self-Defense, teaches voice and art lessons, and sings Karaoke—sometimes as much as three times a week! Now back as the Corporate & Community Engagement Manager, she’s here to stay!
