Renee Stevens, Board Member

Renee grew up in a small farming community in western Minnesota.  She received a BA in Political Science and History from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, and then eagerly left the Minnesota winters behind.  She moved to Washington, DC to pursue a law degree at Georgetown University Law Center and practiced federal regulatory and appellate law for 8 years.
Renee received an MBA from George Washington University and moved from the legal world to the corporate world, holding various positions in marketing and operations in the transportation industry.  She and her husband, Larry, retired to Santa Fe in the late 90’s and immediately began to pursue their shared passion for travel and archaeology.  Some 100 countries later, they are still on the move.
Renee is a long-time volunteer with The Food Depot and currently serves on the Board of Communities in Schools of New Mexico.   She is now focusing her time and energy on ensuring that children in New Mexico have access to the resources necessary to thrive.
