Phyllis Subin, Board Member

Phyllis is an attorney that has focused her professional life on serving the underserved, especially children and girls.  Phyllis was the Chief Public Defender for the State of New Mexico, a Registered Lobbyist for the NM Public Defender Department, has served on the NM Juvenile Justice Advisory Committee, and Chair of the Subcommittee on Girls in the Delinquency System.  She is a Founding Board Member of the National Clearinghouse for the Defense of Battered Women, and the NM Women’s Justice Project.  Phyllis comes to GISF with a wealth of knowledge in the area of government relations and the legislative process, and is anxious to see how her legal/policy/advocacy background may best serve the needs of our organization.
