David Valdo, Board Member
David Valdo is a tribal member of the Pueblo of Acoma and a life-long resident of New Mexico. He is currently employed as an Industrial Hygienist and Safety Advisor at Los Alamos National Laboratory but has a passion for educating communities on safety and emergency management. He is an advocate for cultural and historic preservation in Santa Fe and a supporter of the next generations’ inclusion in these conversations, because it will, after all, be their Santa Fe. David has a daughter who is attending UNM as a graduate student and he enjoys sharing his involvement with their Pueblo with her. He sees his daughter as a strong figure for Acoma’s future and hopes to nurture a culture that helps other girls find that strength.
