This summer, our Teen Groups will be open to 12 – 18-year-olds (essentially incoming 7th graders to incoming high school seniors). Please note that there are specific requirements for each program which will be discussed with you during your registration with our program staff.
Girls enCourage program is an Adventure Program that builds girls’ adventure sports skills, fosters their independence, and equips them to be healthy, safe, and active in the outdoors. Girls enCourage is an eight-week program and includes a camping/backpacking trip during the 7th week of camp. During this camp, girls will also participate in one of our many programs that focus on media literacy, healthy sexuality or economic literacy along with other activities such as swimming, field trips, art activities, self-care workshops, cooking, science, and physical activity. The enCourage group is open to girls ages 12-15.
Bold Futures is an 8-week program that focuses on group mentoring, self-defense, cybersecurity, and advocacy. Through BOLD Futures, girls will learn skills and strategies to lead safer lives in their homes, in relationships, in their communities, and online. Girls learn specific self-defense techniques and strategies as well as how to seek out and talk to caring adults about personal and gender-based violence. Girls also take on a community action project to advocate for a safer world for all women and girls. This group is open to girls age 12-14.
Leadership and Community Connections is comprised of seven once a week sessions for girls ages 15-18. Each session will introduce the girls to a new concept or experience to enrich their summer.
