Is it safe to hold in-person parties? How many people can I invite?

The NM DOH has certain gathering requirements depending on the level we are in.

The CDC also has information about the safety of vaccinated people meeting with each other as well as considerations for meeting with unvaccinated people.

Please do whatever feels safest for you. We encourage you to invite people within your “bubble”. If you are uncomfortable with in-person gatherings, we have the online option!

Do I have to start my party at a certain time?

Your party can be on your schedule, but we do have a video presentation that begins at 7:45 pm. Please plan to view the video for about twenty minutes at that time.

Do I have to make my guests pay if I choose the Cruising Package?

The Cruising Package is similar to purchasing a table at a gala or dinner function, where the host usually pays in one lump sum for their guests to attend. Alternate payments can be arranged by you individually, or we can help. If you have questions or concerns regarding this, please reach out to us and let us know.

I don’t pay for a Zoom account. Can I still have a Zoom party?

We have a limited number of paid Zoom accounts that we will be sharing with hosts who are holding online parties.

Can I have an in-person party if I live out of state?

Yes, you can still have an in-person party that adheres to your state’s and CDC Covid guidelines. Unfortunately, we will not be able to help with food, decor, or on-site day-of-party logistics.

Will Four Seasons have food for my allergies/dietary needs?

Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe will provide several pre-fixe menu options. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available.  Both Girls Inc. of Santa Fe and Four Seasons Resort will work to try to arrange suitable options for all guests, however we cannot guarantee to meet all dietary restrictions..

Hosting a party is not for me. Is there another option available for me to support Girls Inc. of Santa Fe?

You are more than welcome to donate without hosting a party. If you would like information about Girls Inc programming and our impact in Santa Fe and the surrounding area, please reach out to Ginger Williams at 505.982.2042.

I love GISF’s mission, but I don’t know how to talk about it with my guests. What do I do?

All hosts will receive a package with conversation cards centered around GISF, a brief training on our mission and what we do, and will also have GISF ambassadors come to your event in-person or online to talk about our organization.

I’m not tech-savvy. What do I do?

We have tech support and troubleshooting pages available for common issues. For day-of-event issues, hosts will have access to support for last-minute requests and technical issues.

I cannot attend both events is that okay?

You do not have to attend the Car Cruise to host a party or vice versa. You are more than welcome to do both, though!

Is the Rt. 66 theme and/or costumes required?

No, you do not have to have a themed or costume party. Please host your party in the way that is most comfortable for you and your guests!

What if the level changes between now and June 25th?

Girls Inc. of Santa Fe monitors the current pandemic guidelines and changes. If restrictions decrease or increase before June 25th, we will reach out to hosts as soon as possible to ensure a successful event is still possible.
